With blade and handle in one fully integrated piece, the GLOBAL line of all stainless steel kitchen knives is truly revolutionary products in both function and design, and has made their influence spread worldwide. Thanks to the feedback of professionals, market surveys, and new technical developments, GLOBAL range of knives now has advanced to the point we sell about 100 kinds of items in many countries. At present we have two series, GLOBAL and GLOBAL-PRO, the latter being a professional model for sale exclusively in Japan. Our unique knives boast beauty, functionality and ease-of-use.

-1954 : YOSHIDA METAL INDUSTRY CO.,LTD. (YOSHIKIN) is established.
-1960 : Sales of BUNMEI (a Japanese kitchen knife) commenced.
-1978 : Commenced development of the one-piece-constructed all-stainless kitchen knives
-1983 : Domestic sale of twelve GLOBAL items commenced.
-1988 : GLOBAL unveiled at the Frankfurt International Trade Fair for the first time. Overseas sales commenced.
-1990 : The Ministry of International Trade and Industry selects the GLOBAL as a "Good Design" product.
-1990 : Domestic sales of GLOBAL-PRO series commenced.
-1991 : GLOBAL introduced in the International Design Yearbook.
-1992 : Kookguilde confers a cooking utensil award for 1992 upon the GLOBAL in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
-1995 : GLOBAL selected as the No. 1 product in commodity tests conducted by British magazine WHICH.
-2002 : GLOBAL received the prestigious "Long Life Design" award by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
-2005 : Participated as one of the Supporting Sponsor at the Bocuse d'Or
