Article 3 - Coaching
Each team can appoint an Official Coach who will have access to the backstage, facing his/her team's kitchen, in order to coach his/her candidate during the tests. Coaches will not be allowed inside the kitchen cubicles.
During the events, they will be required to wear a shirt bearing the mention "Coach + Country", to be supplied by the IOC. The Official Coaches are required to fill in the corresponding form included at the end of the Application File and agree to abide the contest rules and regulations. They also agree to officiate as Commissaire or Supervisor on the Kitchen Supervising Committee on the day when their team will not be participating. Any expenses incurred by the Coaches will be at their own expense.
Article 4 - Kitchen Supervising Committee
The Kitchen Supervising Comittee will be composed of two Commissaires and two Supervisors. They will officiate in the backstage in order to control the candidate products and equipment, also to see to the smooth running of the contest. The Committee will have a total of eight members (four per day), who will be drawn by lots among the Official Coaches. They will only officiate on the day when their teams will not be participating.
Article 6 - Dimension of dishes, prepared products

Presentation : 12 portions will be presented on a single dish supplied by the candidate and no larger than 110cm x 70 cm (43 x 27 inches) including handles.
Prepared products :
Prepared products are forbidden, with the exception of sauce bases and uncooked peeled vegetables, cleaned, not cut into shape. Candidates will be required to present their products to the Commissaires. A check will be performed before the beginning of the contest. Any non authorised prepared product will be confiscated immediately.
Article 7 - Note "Methodology - Cleanliness - Proper use of products"
The Kitchen Supervision Committee will also mark participants in their kitchen cubicles out of a total of 20 points for "method - cleanliness - appropriate use of the products". This mark also takes into account the respect and proper use of the products, the method, cleanliness and proper use of the products in order to minimise waste. These points will be used to decide the winners in the event of a tie.
