there’s only one cuisine...
The Good one»
"Bocuse d'Or Battles" are a by-product of the Bocuse d'Or. Sharing the same values as the prestigious culinary competition, they are short jousting matches, with a lot of rhythm, in a playful and contemporary atmosphere.
The idea of this contest is to give a chance for young chefs to share a great experience with experimented chefs like members of the Bocuse d’Or family. It is also a key step in the preparation of the National Selection of Bocuse d’Or Turkey that allows us assessing trends and talents in Russian Cuisine.
During each round candidates have to revisit a typical Russian dish. Andrey Matuha won the first Battle against Bakhtiyar Aliev and Evgueny Mestcheriakov won the second one against Roman Goncharov. For the Final Battle the winners of the First Battle are joined by the international chefs Simon Hulstone and Heidy Pinnak. Finally, Simon Hulston and Evgueni Mestcheriakov won the Battle Bocuse d’Or.
