The candidates for the Europe Continental Selection go through national selections beforehand. The first 10 will go to the Finale in 2019 in Lyon (France), during the Sirha Trade Show.

THE JURY

A number of illustrious gastronomic personalities from around the world were chosen to organize the contest. The candidates' work is marked by members of the Kitchen Jury and members of the Tasting Jury.

The role of the Kitchen Jury is to record the candidates' performances according to organizational, hygiene and waste management criteria. The Bocuse d'Or contest insists on the adoption of an eco-responsible approach, because it is at the heart of the values conveyed by the contest. 2 of the 4 jurors are selected each day from the team coaches through a draw.

 

The Tasting Jury is composed of the presidents of each team and is divided into two panels. A draw the day before the competition determines which jurors will be part of the "theme on a plate" jury and which will be part of the "theme on a platter" jury. Their task is to mark the creations of the chefs according to criteria such as the presentation, the taste, the method of cooking, the skills, the respect of the products and the originality.
