Monday 30th JUNE 2008
3:00 pm - 5:00 pm Welcoming of the candidates/ coaches/ commis and jury presidents at the official hotels of the contest by appointed contact person.
5:15 pm Meeting for logistics update with the contact person in the lobby of the official hotels.Handing over of accreditation badges, parking permits, gala dinner tickets etc.
5:30 pm Transfer by bus for jury presidents to Stavanger Forum, candidates/coaches/
commis will walk from the hotel (approx 3 minutes) for the briefing to be held at the “Chefs’ Village” in hall E.
5.45 pm Meeting at Briefing area and presentation and handing over of the official jackets to the teams.
6:00 pm - 6:15 pm Welcome speech by Paul Bocuse, president of the International Organising.
Committee and Eyvind Hellstrøm, president of the European Organising Committee. Drawing of lots for the Fish/Meat jury. Drawing of coaches for check of ingredients and equipment. Technical briefing on the installations. Visit the kitchen cubicles and the back stage area.
8:00 pm - 10:00 pm Tuesday’s candidates take possession of their kitchen cubicles.
8:00 pm - 9:00 pm Cocktail at Chefs’ Village.
9.00 pm Transport for the judges to the official judges dinner at Hall Toll.
   
Tuesday 1st JULY 2008
6.00 am Opening of competition area in Hall F – Entrance by back stage area.
6:30 am Meeting of Tuesday’s 10 candidates in the hotel lobby – walk to the competition area
7.40 am Start of ingredients’ and equipment check in Kitchen No 1 by the kitchen supervising committee.
8:00 am Start of Kitchen No 1
10:30 am Meeting of Wednesday’s 10 candidates and presidents in the lobby of their official hotels.
10:45 am Jury presidents depart for Stavanger Forum by coach, candidates will walk.
11:00 am Cocktail for Wednesday’s 10 candidates at the «Chef’s Village» with the partners.
11:30 am Information meeting with the jury presidents backstage
12:30 pm Jury presidents take their place at the Jury table.
1:00 pm Beginning of tasting of the salmon dish.
1:35 pm Beginning of tasting of the lamb dish.
3:05 pm Last dish from Kitchen NO 10.
3:15 pm Official Norwegian reception in Chefs’ village - Norwegian Lounge.
3:30 pm End of the day’s events.
4:00 pm Preparation for the official photograph – Meeting point outside back stage entrance. Presidents’ and candidates’ presence is required in official Segers chef jacket and, black pants, black shoes, apron and hat.
8.00 pm - 10.00 pm Wednesday’s candidates take possession of their kitchen cubicals.
   
Wednesday 2nd JULY 2008

10:45 am Jury presidents depart for Stavanger Forum by coach, candidates will walk.
11:00 am Cocktail for Tuesday’s 10 candidates at the «Chefs’ Village» with the partners.
11:30 am Information meeting with the jury presidents backstage.
12:30 pm Jury presidents take their place at the Jury table.
1:00 pm Beginning of tasting of the salmon dish.
1:35 pm Beginning of tasting of the lamb dish.
3:05 pm Last dish from Kitchen NO 10.
3:30 pm - 4:30 pm Deliberation of the Jury in presence of the officials.
4:45 pm Meeting backstage with all jury members and candidates for the award ceremony.
5:00 pm Announcement of the results and ceremony for the presentation of the trophies and prizes.
5:30 pm Press conference at VIP terrace back stage, jury presidents’ and candidates’ presence is required in official Segers chef jacket and chef hat.
6.30 am Jury presidents depart from Stavanger Forum by coach for official hotel.
7:30.pm Jury presidents depart from official hotel by coach for Stavanger Forum. Candidates meet in hotel lobby and walk to the Stavanger Forum.
8:00 pm Gala Dinner at Stavanger Forum.
11 :30 pm Transport from Stavanger Forum to the Culinary Stavanger Venue in the city centre.

9.00 am Fixing of commemorative plaques in honour of the candidates and presidents of the three first teams at “Måltidets Hus” (The National Culinary House).
