Bocuse d'Or Latin American selection has closed in Mexico on the 12th of February 2016. Assisted by her commis Nicholas SANTOS, the Brazilian lady Chef Giovanna GROSSI won the title of “Bocuse d'Or Latin America Champion”, after two high level competition days during Sirha Mexico trade show.
Jessika TONI from Uruguay (2nd) and Marcos Jose SAENZ GONZALEZ from Guatemala (3rd) are also qualified for the Grand Finale that will take place during Sirha Lyon in France, the 24th and 25th January 2017. This Latin America Bocuse d'Or marks a historical première, as for the first time, 2 qualified candidates are women. Their achievement announces a grand finale and sets a good example for other regions.
The Best Commis Prize given in name of the Bocuse d'Or Winners Academy was also awarded to Anthony Joel CASTRO ZEGARRA for his excellent culinary technique with Palmiro OCAMPO GREY, from Peru.
