At the 2019 Bocuse d’Or Grand Final in Lyon, METRO again will play a major role as main sponsor and official ingredient supplier to this world renowned culinary competition. METRO France will proudly supply the ingredients for the Plate theme, Vegetable Chartreuse with shellfish. As the rules require, the Chartreuses must contain a minimum of 50% vegetal products and stuffed with a stew made using 4 shellfish. For the 24 candidates, all vegetable products must be selected from the on-site METRO market offering about 100 products, set up by METRO France as the official theme supplier for Bocuse D’Or 2019. It is again a strong testimony of METRO’s leading competence in assortment, freshness and quality, which will be translated into the unique test of creativity for the candidates.

Among the 24 finalists, four teams, namely France, Italy, Belgium and Hungary have been closely supported by METRO’s local subsidiaries during the earlier European final as well as the training and preparation phases leading up to Lyon.
