The Turkish selection of the Bocuse d'Or has seen the most promising chefs of the country compete. The competition was part of the Sirha Istanbul, event that also hosted the Coupe du Monde de Pâtisserie Turquie 2017.
The challenge of the Bocuse d'Or Turkey was significant since the finalist of this competition will represent Turkey against 19 other chefs during the continental selection (Bocuse d'Or Europe) which will take place in Turin in June 2018. This step will be crucial before the Bocuse d'Or final in Lyon in January 2019.
The chefs selected for the Bocuse d'Or Turkey showcased their technique and creativity during an intense 5-hour 35-minute test. Assisted by their commis, they made a plate of meat and a plate of fish. At the end of this challenge, Mutlu Sevket YILMAZ won the title!
