Bocuse d’or France 2019
8 participants, 2 tests, 1 chance to defend the colours of France on the international culinary scene.
On September 23 rd and 24 th , the Palais de la Mutualité venue in Paris will host the 11 th edition of the Bocuse d’Or France contest. This national round is the first stage in the qualifying process and will be followed by the European event, then the grand finale of the prestigious contest that will take place in Lyon, France, in 2021. A total of 8 participants have been selected by the National Organisation Committee among approximately 100 applications.
The Bocuse d’Or France is thus the first stage in this new selection cycle. The future top chefs who have convinced the Committee thanks to their precise skills and creativity will endeavour to qualify to represent France in the Bocuse d’Or Europe to be held in Tallinn (Estonia) in June 2020. If the candidate also qualifies in the latter contest, he/she will take part in the world final in Lyon, France, in January 2021, and will contribute to further promote French gastronomy throughout the world.
The 8 hopefuls of French haute-cuisine are about to embark on a formidable human adventure. Their personality will receive as much attention as their professional skills and technical mastery.
The national round promises to be rich in emotions, with outstanding culinary performances. The participants are already practicing for the 5-hour test, where they will be required to prepare a recipe on a tray based on rabbit and 8 plated recipes based on artichokes, a plain product that will be transcended by the chefs’ creative talent.
After the French national round the winner will become part of the Bocuse d’Or family for an amazing human adventure that will last 18 months. He or she will enjoy the unwavering support of Team France.
