Marcelino Gòmez Vita is the chef who will lead the Team Italy at the European final Bocuse d’Or of Trondheim in Norway (March 19-20, 2024). Looking forward to the next international appointment, the Italian finale took place in Rimini during the Italian Cuisine Championship of Federazione Italiana Cuochi.
Marcelino Gomez, with Benjamin Sørensen (commis) and Fernando Emilio Lo Coco (coach), won the contest by challenging Fabiana Miccoli, Francesco D’Errico and Francesco Nunziata. A big jury composed by Enrico Crippa (President Bocuse d’Or Itay Academy), Mauro Uliassi (Uliassi***, Senigallia) and more than 20 greatest Italian chefs and not only, but there were also Davy Tissot (winner Bocuse d’Or 2021) and Francis Cardenau (Denmark Bocuse d’Or President) has decreed the victory of Marcelino Gomez over all the others.
The life of Marcelino is very interesting, is not totally Italian and he participated already at Bocuse d’Or with Argentina and Colombia Teams, as a coach and jury but never us a chef. He travelled all around the world before attempting the competition in Italy, he worked in Spain at cuisine research laboratories of Ferran Adrià, after that he went to Copenhagen at Geranium and then to France at Mirazur of Mauro Colagreco.
Big experiences for a big dream that Marcelino is ready to live with all his strength and big commitment.
