Snædís Xyza Mae Jónsdóttir is the head chef at the Fröken Reykjavík restaurant at Hotel Saga in Reykjavík. She grew up in Dalvík in Eyjafjörður and has worked extensively in the culinary and hotel industry.
She has also been actively involved in the work of the Icelandic national culinary team, both as captain in 2020 when the team won 3rd place at the IKA Olympics in Stuttgart, and as the team's coach from 2023–2025, including when it won 3rd place at the IKA Olympics in 2024.
