Culinary Excellence: the Ultimate Stage

Since its creation in 1987, the Bocuse d’Or has established itself as one of the most prestigious and demanding culinary competitions in the world. The Grand Finale, held during Sirha Lyon food trade show at Eurexpo, represents the culmination of a two‑year journey involving 72 countries and five continental selections. The Selection brings together 24 of the world’s most talented chefs.

For each candidate, reaching the Final is the result of months - often years - of rigorous preparation, where precision, discipline and creativity are pushed to their absolute limits. Over the course of two intense days, the finalists compete in front of stands reminiscent of major sporting events and under the gaze of an international audience, with live broadcasts reaching around the world. More than a competition, the Bocuse d’Or is a true laboratory of excellence and an incubator of talent, offering a unique stepping stone for young chefs to gain international recognition and shape the future of global gastronomy.

The 40th Anniversary Grand Final: A Landmark Edition

The next Bocuse d’Or Grand Final will take place on 24 and 25 January 2027 as part of the Sirha Lyon trade fair. This edition will be particularly special as it marks the competition’s 40th anniversary. As Jérôme Bocuse pointed out, this historic edition confirms the Bocuse d’Or as “a showcase for the world cuisine of tomorrow”, where the standard of excellence continues to rise with each edition.

As the final approaches, the teams that have already qualified through the European continental selections will be joined by the winners of the remaining selections in the Americas, Africa, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East.

They all share the same ambition: to win the Bocuse d’Or 2027 and leave a lasting mark on the history of gastronomy (and change the course of their lives forever).

Grand Finale 2027 - Qualified European Teams

The Bocuse d’Or Europe 2026, held for the first time in France in Marseille during Sirha Méditerranée, brought together 20 teams for two days of high‑level competition celebrating Mediterranean gastronomy. After an intense competition, Denmark, represented by Christian Wellendorf, claimed first place, followed by Norway and Italy in second and third.
