- 2023 round
Their national team will practice in a new training center, which was set up specifically to train Belgian chefs in preparation for the Bocuse d’Or. Like athletes from the Olympic Games, top chefs cannot afford to overlook details when they want to get a medal at the Bocuse d’Or. EaThey build together a kitchen that is an almost exact copy of the Bocuse kitchen where the Belgian team can devote themselves fully to their cooking skills. In this way, they will be able to prepare to perfection and nothing will be left to chance.

In 2023, we will again search for a suitable candidate to represent our country at the World Championship for Professional Chefs, the Bocuse d'Or.
The Bocuse d'Or, named after chef Paul Bocuse, is the world's most prestigious culinary competition. It is like the Olympics of gastronomy.
Besides a cooking competition, it is also a human adventure that brings together talented chefs and further guides them on their way to stardom. Any professional Belgian chef can participate.
He or she will be assisted by their own commis (maximum 22 years) and a coach during this national selection competition.
The National Chef Selection will take place on Sunday 19 November 2023 during the Horeca Expo in Ghent.
The winner of this competition will be allowed to represent Belgium at the European Final Bocuse d'Or in Trondheim (Norway) in March 2024. He will be accompanied by a mentor team consisting of the best chefs in our country.
The selected team will receive full support (financial, logistical, etc.) from the national committee of the Belgian Bocuse d'Or Academy during this process.
If you are interested, or if you know the perfect person for this unique experience.... don't hesitate!
