Setting the course for the Bocuse d'Or

The Argentine national selection took place on 10 November 2025 at the Instituto Argentino de Gastronomía (IAG) in Buenos Aires. 

Five candidates competed in this qualifying event, each tasked with creating a dish based on trout. The competition brought together chefs from several regions of the country, including Buenos Aires, El Calafate and Rosario-Santa Fe. 

Candidates were evaluated by a jury composed of leading figures from the Argentine culinary scene, including chefs, journalists, sommeliers and hospitality professionals.

Results of the Selection

At the conclusion of the competition, Eliel Butticé was selected to represent Argentina throughout the American Continental Selections for the Bocuse d'Or, which were held on the 26th of July 2026 in New Orleans. 

Currently working at Presencia Restaurant in Buenos Aires, he has built a strong career through a series of notable performances in national culinary competitions.  Butticé came 2nd place twice at the Federal Chefs Tournament - Hotelga Shgow, both in 2023 and 2025. He has also hels several executive chef, head chef and sous chef positions throughout his career. 

Through his hard work and relentless training, he earned team Argentina 5th place in the American Continental Selections for the Bocuse d'Or. This provides Argentina with a qualified position to compete in the Grande Finale in Lyon, 2027!
