Chile's Bocuse d'Or national selection took place on 10 April 2025 at INACAP in Santiago, bringing together five candidates competing for the opportunity to represent their country on the international stage. Organized by ACHIGA (the Chilean Gastronomy Association), the event formed part of the country's long-standing National Gastronomy Competition, which has been held since 1986 and serves as the official pathway to the Bocuse d'Or.
Through this competition, ACHIGA identifies the chef who will carry Chile's colors in the continental selection and continue the country's strong tradition within the Bocuse d'Or circuit.
Results of the National Selection
Following the competition, Jorge Diez was selected as Chile's representative for the Bocuse d'Or Americas cycle. An instructor at INACAP Apoquindo, Jorge has built a unique career combining gastronomy, teaching and research, driven by the belief that culinary excellence stems from innovation and knowledge sharing. His victory in ACHIGA's National Gastronomy Competition earned him the right to represent Chile internationally, following in the footsteps of previous Chilean teams that have established the country as a regular competitor on the world stage.
Together with his team, Jorge Diez went on to lead Chile's preparations for the Bocuse d'Or Americas 2026, showcasing the talent, identity and growing reputation of Chilean gastronomy. Following a great performance in New Orleans during the Americas Selections, Chile came 6th in the ranking.
