The United Arab Emirates held its Bocuse d'Or national selection on 3 June 2026 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Marking a historic milestone for the country, this was the first-ever Bocuse d'Or UAE National Selection, officially launching the nation's journey within the Bocuse d'Or competition cycle. Two candidates competed for the opportunity to represent the UAE on the road to the regional and international stages of the competition.
The selection was evaluated by a distinguished jury composed of Mohamad Orfali, Wassim Orfali, Nicolas Lambert and Karim Bougi, under the supervision of Christophe Devoille, Ambassador of the UAE Academy. Supported by leading regional culinary institutions and professionals, the event showcased the growing ambition of the UAE to establish itself on the international gastronomic stage.
The Winner of the Inaugural UAE Selection
Following the competition,Alhassan Al Falasiwas selected to represent the United Arab Emirates, becoming thefirst chef ever to win the Bocuse d'Or UAE National Selection.
A chef, entrepreneur and founder ofInner Child Bake Shop, he has spent years developing his craft while drawing inspiration from the stories, memories and flavours that have shaped his culinary identity.
His victory earned him the right to represent the UAE in the next stage of the Bocuse d'Or cycle and continue the country's historic journey toward the regional selections and, ultimately, the Bocuse d'Or Grand Finale.
