Setting the course for the Bocuse d'Or

Spain's Bocuse d'Or national selection took place on 10 September 2025 at the Hospitality School of the Community of Madrid. Organized by the National Academy of the Bocuse d'Or Spain, the competition brought together five candidates competing for the opportunity to represent the country at the European selection.

Candidates were challenged to demonstrate their creativity, technical expertise and capacity for innovation through a series of demanding tests inspired by the Bocuse d'Or format. Working with mandatory ingredients supplied by the competition's official partners, competitors were required to prepare both a plated fish dish featuring sturgeon and caviar, and a meat platter centered on veal.

Results of the Selection

Following the national selection, Adolfo Santos was chosen to represent Spain in the next stage of the Bocuse d'Or cycle. Selected from a field of experienced culinary professionals, he earned the right to carry Spain's colours on the international stage and continue the country's long-standing presence in the competition. His selection marked the culmination of a rigorous national process designed to identify the chef best prepared to compete against Europe's leading culinary talents.

Following his victory at the Spanish national selection, Adolfo Santos went on to represent Spain at the Bocuse d'Or Europe 2026 in Marseille. Supported by his commis Marcos López, coach Miguel Durán and jury representative Romain Fornell, he competed against Europe's leading culinary talents and helped secure Spain's place among the continent's top competitors.
