The United Kingdom's Bocuse d'Or national selection took place on 22 September 2025 at Pillar Kitchen, University of West London, London, United Kingdom.
Three candidates competed for the opportunity to represent Team UK during the 2026-2027 Bocuse d'Or cycle. The competition challenged chefs to demonstrate precision, creativity and technical skill through two demanding tests completed within 4 hours and 30 minutes.
The first challenge focused on a canape presentation featuring three styles of canapés built around ingredients including celeriac, Baron Bigod cheese and Scottish fish or shellfish. The second challenge, a Theme on a Plate, required candidates to work with guinea fowl, sweetcorn and verjus, presenting a composed restaurant-style dish as well as a stuffed pasta and consommé preparation.
Oliver McGeorge Leads Team UK
Following the competition, Oliver McGeorge was selected to represent the United Kingdom. His victory earned him the opportunity to lead Team UK into the next stage of the Bocuse d'Or cycle and compete against Europe's leading culinary talents.
Oliver subsequently represented the United Kingdom at the Bocuse d'Or Europe 2026 in Marseille, where Team UK finished 7th out of 20 participating countries, securing one of the ten qualification places for the Bocuse d'Or Grand Final, which will take place during Sirha Lyon in January 2027.
