Slovakia National Selection

Slovakia's Bocuse d'Or national selection took place on 29 October 2025 at the R2N Business Center in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia

Three candidates competed for the opportunity to represent the country in the next stage of the Bocuse d'Or cycle.

The selection was organized as part of a broader initiative to promote gastronomy, support young culinary talent and strengthen the visibility of the Bocuse d'Or in Slovakia. In addition to the main competition, the organizers planned activities involving culinary schools from across the country, highlighting the importance of education and the development of future generations of chefs.

Representing Slovakia on the International Stage

Following the competition, Patrik Pokrývka was selected to represent Slovakia.

He was joined by Viktória Orolínová as commis, who was also named Best Commis of the Selection, and supported by coach Tomáš Sevik. Patrik's culinary journey began at an early age, learning from renowned Slovak chefs before being heavily influenced by Scandinavian gastronomy. Over the years, he gained experience in prestigious restaurants in Oslo and Copenhagen, and today leads the kitchen at Hotel Lomnica in the High Tatras.

His approach combines discipline, creativity and international experience, qualities that earned him the opportunity to represent Slovakia on the international Bocuse d'Or stage.

The Slovakian team finished 16th in the European continental qualifiers in March 2026, they will therefore not be attending the Grand Finale for this Bocuse d'Or cycle.
